About Allyson

Allyson was born in November 1985 in southern California. Her brother Wes ran track and she wanted to be like him. Thus, she decided to try out for the track team during her freshman year at the Los Angeles Baptist Church. During her tryouts, she ran so fast that her coach did a double take, wondering whether he had read his stopwatch correctly.

In her school, she was nicknamed ‘Chicken Legs’ because of her thin legs. However, she did not let the nickname demoralize her. Nor did she lose sight of her goal. On the contrary, she focused with single-minded devotion to honing her skill.
